Joining Phene Philanderers CC

The home of the Phene Philanderers is the Phene Arms in Phene Street, off Oakley Street in Chelsea. This now somewhat loose connection has persisted since the PPCC was founded in 1968 although most of our members have long since been thrown out. The club is a wandering club with no home ground and we play some 20 fixtures every year in the UK in addition to the occasional tour abroad. Membership is by invitation only yet persons suitably qualified are always invited to join. Qualification is by friendship or family ties with an existing member, an uncontrollable desire to play cricket coupled with dishonourable dismissal from any other club or on rare occasions an international cap for any test country.
